Valuations
We continue to provide a probate and insurance valuation service.
This begins with a home visit where all the items requiring valuation are listed. After this, a detailed written inventory is prepared describing each item and a value set aginst each one (for either probate or insurance).
It is always recommended that for insurance purposes, valuations are supported by photographs. These prove themselves to be invaluable as they have the added advantage of showing the condition and colour of the item.
The Auction House's Introduction
We carry out successful antique auctions held at our premises with extremely good prices achieved for our clients for antiques and objets d’art placed with us. This is a market that has seen huge interest over recent years with television programmes such as The Antiques Roadshow and The Antiques Inspectors and local radio spots and valuations.
